BarTrack System Installation
Installer Notice
Returning the System Acceptance post-install is mandatory in order for payment to be processed. Please review the below for more information on the System Acceptance form.
Installation System Acceptance Form
You must complete the BarTrack System Acceptance Form and notify a BarTrack Representative that it has been completed. Failure to do so results in the install being considered incomplete, therefore delaying payment until the form is received.
Equipment Included
Prior to Install
Prior to the install, you must pour approximately 4oz of liquid from each tap and capture it on video. If the client has pulled kegs out of the cooler to make room for you, then you can ignore this step. This is mandatory and necessary to establish any pre-existing foaming issues with the draft system.

Kegerator or Direct Draw Cooler Lines
If the Client has a kegerator or direct draw cooler and the beer line is under 3/8” inner diameter (ID) coming from the keg (this is typically 3/16”) – you will replace the 3/16” line coming off of the keg with 3/8” line, so the only beer line from the bottom of the BarTrack unit to the keg will be 3/8” to avoid restriction issues. Anything coming out of the top of the BarTrack unit can be 3/8” ID or lower. The inner diameter of the BarTrack sensor is 3/8”.
Cable Installation
BarTrack’s system requires you to run and daisy chain BarTrack’s data cables (RJ 12). Neatly zip tie these cables and install them in a professional manner. Do not leave the cables dangling, bunched up, in disarray or laying all over the place. You should pig tail excess cable line below the BarTrack unit (not in between units).
Installation Location Best Practices
- Install system the way the units are labeled (numerical order)
- Install BRU/s under FOB’s (so we can detect leaks)
- Install BRU/s prior to splitters unless otherwise instructed by BarTrack
- If Customer has 3/8” to 5/16” or 3/16” jumpers, feel free to unscrew the hex nuts on the reducers and screw them into either end of our BRU/s. This will save you parts, time, and money.
- Install gateway/BCM in an accessible place for easy access in case a power cycle is needed – not on top of the cooler.
- Mount the gateway/s with mounting tape or screws – DO NOT leave it dangling.
General Maintenance and Housekeeping
- Ensure site cleanliness after install meets client satisfaction, refer to System Acceptance Installer Checklist
- All items within cooler must be returned to original location
- Final cooler cleanliness includes cleaning any spillage of liquid and removal of all excess installer materials (i.e. beer line, zip ties, draft fittings, etc.)
End of Installation
- Call BarTrack at the end of every install, BRU replacement, BRU uninstalling.
- Acknowledge that ALL BarTrack equipment will be shipped directly to the customer location (not installer) unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.
- Bring extra parts to each install. This includes but is not limited to: zip ties, all different tail pieces, hex nuts, washers, all different clamps, different beer lines.
- We get the estimated Line ID from each Client, which can result in them giving us incorrect info. Being prepared, bringing multiple extra and different fittings can prevent a rescheduled installation.
- Installation Partner must fill out the System Acceptance Form after each install in its entirety.
- Leave the draft system in a better state than where you found it.
- The entire Gateway/BCM setup should look clean and wires managed well.
- Follow proper installation procedures – watch the “How to Install” BarTrack video prior to the installation
